Opening a blog and earning from it is like a dream, many bloggers are living their dream.
You can start a blog from your home in your pyjamas and if that blog gives you money, then nothing better than that can happen.
No Boss, no office, just you and your laptop and you can go anywhere without any worries.
To begin you need to invest $3 to $5 dollars a month, go to Bluehost start following the instructions given below.
I have been doing this for seven years now, the only thing I have added to this routine is my office. I don't only earn money from home, I also have a blogging office now. Where I blog whole day and now I have also hired people who blog for me. Isn't that cool?
While you followed this guide and if you got stuck somewhere, you can contact me, and I will get back to you with my first-hand answers.
Many of my friends ask me, how I do it and what steps are involved in starting such type of business. This guide will provide all those answers. Whether you want to open a casual blog, a fashion blog, a tech blog, a business blog or a lifestyle blog, all of them will have similar steps.
Let's see how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost and build online business instantly.
Once you have decided to create a blog, the next step is to book a domain and buy a hosting account where your blog will keep all files on a server that can be accessed anywhere in the world.
Also, think about what do you want to blog about. Pick a topic that you are passionate about. The topic can also be a favorite pastime of yours like you discuss movies, music or may be a particular sport. The more you love the topic, the more credible you look while blogging.
You will be sharing your written articles on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram so make sure you know what you are talking about and don't worry about traffic at the start, your passion will drive traffic and money in time.
Choosing a blog platform is the next step and for all kind of blogs my recommendation it to open a self-hosted blog on WordPress. If you don't know anything about WordPress then it's not a problem, just follow the guide and you will be okay.
With Bluehost, you get a domain name plus hosting account at a price of $3.45 a month. Which is pretty cheap and considering their reputation, you can totally rely on them.
Now you just need to follow the step by step guide below and in no time your WordPress blog will be ready.
When you click on the link above, you will be presented by a screen of Bluehost's home page.
Next up is the plans they offer, by clicking on "get started now" you will be on a page telling you to select your plan.
You will see three different plans – Basic, Plus, and Pro in a comparison format.
You can choose the basic one as it's sufficient for a new blogger starting out today. And if you are converting yourself from other blogging platforms than again the basic plan will work.
The third screen, after selecting your plan will take you to enter the domain name, it can either be a new domain, or it can be an old domain that you have registered before.
Also, read – How to Decide a Domain Name for your Blog
After naming your blog, you will need to fill in your account information, and billing information, where you have to fill your Name, Address, and other related details, as seen in screenshots below.
After you login you will be on your hosting account panel, from there you will see several menus on top. Go to hosting > CPanel and under website builder you will see "Install WordPress" (as indicated by arrows below)
The next screen will be Mojo Marketplace, which has collaboration with Bluehost in providing one click installation. Click on Start.
Enter you domain name
Enter your Site Name or Title, Admin details (username, password, and email address).
Within few seconds, your new blog will be ready, and an email will be delivered to you with username and password of your new WordPress blog.
Right after that you can log in and start writing posts.
Once you have installed WordPress and you have logged in to your WordPress dashboard, you will see a lot of new menus and navigational items.
Feel free to browse and look for Appearance menu item, under this menu, you will find Themes, Plugins, etc.
Install a few essential plugins and beautify your blog with some excellent free WordPress themes.
By doing so, you will not only add functionality to your blog but also make your blog look beautiful and smart.
Making a full blown website will of course take time, you need to work dedicatedly to gain visitors and make them your genuine follower.
But this is a stepping stone, you can make millions of dollars each year by just writing stuff and selling your ad space. The more visitors you get, the more money you make in the long term. So, make your website useful with information that people are finding.
If you have any question or issues in steps above, drop me an email with my contact page. And do subscribe to my Daily Newsletter where you will find loads of tips and tricks for making your blog attractive and accessible.

Since 81% of bloggers never make more than $100 during their online careers the mass anxiety, panic, and general distress associated with blog monetizing makes this a popular topic.
Most bloggers totally miss the monetizing boat because they fail to see making money through your blog is an inside-out game.
How to Monetize Your BlogAll the proven, practical, successful tips on earth can't help a blogger with limiting, low energy beliefs concerning money.
If you do the inner clearing you can leave your financial pain behind and you'll also:
Are you ready to release your blogging financial struggles?
Let's deal with the root cause of your agony.
A1: Address Your Money Limiting BeliefsNo matter how much you want to make money with your blog you will ignore the following 11 tips – or self-sabotage after using them – if you ignore this step.
List your money limiting beliefs on a piece of paper by engaging in EFT tapping and other self help techniques.
Burn the piece of paper over a sink or bathtub.
Free yourself of these limiting beliefs.
Allow money to flow into your experience.
I prefer:
…..to uncover my limiting beliefs about money.
Face, embrace and release these energies.
This may involve feeling terror, panic, anger, anxiety or jealous emotions.
Pack a pillow (for punching) and tissues (for crying) while doing this work.
It may get a little hairy but the relief you'll feel after is amazing.
A2: Write 1,000 Words Daily (or More)I once heard a crass but truth-telling, PT Barnum like promoter tell me:
"You can't shine poop."
He stressed how you can't effectively market a poor product.
In your case that means you can't market your blog powerfully and earn a full time income if you're a poor writer.
You may follow each of these tips religiously but unless you write well you will struggle to monetize your blog.
Hone the #1 skill in your blog monetizing arsenal.
Open a Word document. Write 1,000 words daily in private. Practice to profit.
If you deliver crisply-written, emotion-inducing blog posts you can rank on page 1 of google for competitive keywords.
Grow your services businesses. Sell more eBooks. Sell more products. Nail down more guest posting opportunities.
Write.
1: Blog Your FunBlog your fun.
Blog your passion.
Blogging predominantly to have fun largely detaches you from money outcomes.
If you aren't worried about making money with your blog:
Acting on profitable ideas, partnering with pros, being generous and practicing your writing all lead to greater blogging profits.
2: List Reader Pain PointsProfits reside in pain points.
List your reader's pain points to monetize your blog intelligently.
Ask your readers what they're struggling with to build your pain point list.
Kevin Duncan and his writers at Be a Better Blogger hit on pain points wonderfully.
Note how virtually every post leads off with a struggle, a problem or some pain experienced by his readership.
Build your pain point list through polling or by asking your readers on Twitter, Facebook, G Plus and LinkedIn about their problems.
3: Build Every Blog Post Around Reader Pain PointsBuild every single blog post around topics from your pain point list.
Every one.
If you specifically solve your reader's problems through each post you betcha readers will buy your products or hire you.
Even better; these same readers will endorse you and promote you to their like-minded friends, many of whom suffer through similar pain points.
Can you say, "Community Growing 101"?
Don Purdum does a smash up job sharing the struggles his audience faces.
He uses statistics to wake up his readership to what's *really* not working, and more importantly, what works darn well.
4: Guest PostLeverage your presence through the power of guest posting.
Connect with large, targeted audiences.
Guest post on popular, authority blogs from your niche.
Stick to readerships who dig your blog theme. Target.
Google "blogging guest posts" and sift through the results to find authority sites for posting opportunities.
I prefer to make friends with top bloggers in my niche by commenting on their blogs and by promoting them.
Then I receive the invitation or reach out and land the guest gig 9 out of 10 times.
5: Comment on Authority BlogsComment on authority blogs to build friendships with influential bloggers, to expand your presence, and to drive targeted traffic to your blog.
Blog commenting is lower profile guest posting in action if you do it right.
Address your fellow blogger by name.
Create a thorough, helpful, 3 to 4 paragraph comment discussing the blog post.
Thank your fellow blogger. Sign off with your name.
If you're struggling to learn the basics of successful blog commenting

6: Open Income Streams Based on Your PassionMonetize your passions.
Do you like writing? Self publish eBooks. Create a freelance writing business.
If you love teaching establish a blog consulting business.
Monetize your blog by falling in love with working your income streams.
This detaches you – largely – from money outcomes so you can devote virtually all of your creative energies to honing your skills and to helping your clients and customers.
Monetizing Channels
Here's the problem: 81% of bloggers online never make more than $100 during their entire online careers because they scan to find this tip and ignore every other one.
This is like handing the keys of a Lamborghini to a toddler.
The toddler has no clue in hell how to tap into the raw, savage power of the Lambo and you will have no clue in hell how to make money with these income streams unless you follow all 12 steps religiously.
Focus heavily on steps 1-2 then take your time with each succeeding step on this list.
7: Add 1 Income Stream every 3-6 MonthsAfter adding your first income stream simply learn that channel inside-out, follow pros from that niche and then add 1 income stream every 3 to 6 months.
I adopted this mindset/general monetizing strategy from hacking wizard (clever marketer, not butcher) Matthew Capala at Search Decoder.
Establish multiple streams of income to diversify your blogging cash flow.
10 minutes ago I received a royalty payment for my audiobooks sold through Amazon, Audible and iTunes.
The prior 2 days I received royalty payments for eBooks I sold through 6 Amazon sites/countries, like Amazon US, Amazon Japan, Amazon Spain, etc.
Last week I received payment for audio courses and eBooks sold through Selz.
A few days ago I received a Paypal payment from a freelance writing client.
Receiving money through 2 or 3 or 5 or 10 income channels boosts your blogging profits in the near term and long term.
Just make sure to learn the more in-depth streams – consulting/freelancing/eBook self-publishing – over a 3 month or longer stretch to work the stream right.
8: Build an Email ListBuild an email list to make it easy for your readers to:
Email marketing is the most powerful, convenient medium for building a profitable blog.
Virtually everybody checks their emails once, twice or 15 times daily. Or more frequently. Meaning you will get an increasing number of guaranteed, engaged views on your blog and business sites if you build an email list.

9: Align Your BlogAlign your blog with your domain name.
Your blog domain name, title, tagline, brand logo, posts, pages, sidebar widgets, footer and all elements in between should align fully to inspire your audience to know and trust you as a go-to blogger in 1 niche.
Do 1 thing really well. Align all elements on your blog with doing that 1 thing.

Gain expert status in that area.
Maximize your blogging profits.
If you do want to work in outlying/off topic elements simply weave these topics into your posts sporadically.
That's how I do it with my zany travel stories at Blogging From Paradise.

This income report is coming a bit late this month because August has been very busy for me both with blogging and in my personal life, but I'll save that for the August report.
For now, let's focus on what I learned in July and see how much I earned.
What I Learned In July From Self-EmploymentJuly was a month when my main focus wasn't my blog. Thankfully, I learned I don't have to earn money just through blogging and other online endeavors.
July was a month where Tori and I spent a significant amount of time preparing our first home and ex-rental property for sale. This time spent was well worth it, even though it was very frustrating.
The decrease in blog income will be more than offset by the increase in the selling price of our property.
Tori and I also took some time to recharge our batteries by visiting Key West for a few days. We were able to pay for the trip mostly with credit card rewards and sign up bonuses, so the trip didn't cost much out of pocket.
I did lose time I could have spent earning more income for the business. As a self-employed person, I don't get paid vacation which is a bit of a bummer. However, the time off was well worth it.
July 2016 Income – $2,976July was my worst month of income reporting so far, but I'm 100% okay with that.
The main reason I made less money this month, as I mentioned above, is the fact I took a week off for vacation and spent a significant amount of time preparing our rental property for sale. While I won't be reporting my real estate sale information, it will more than make up for the lower income many times over.
Here's how I made money this month.
Affiliate IncomeAffiliate income had another blah month. I really need to work on my affiliate income streams, so I'm going to be taking my friend Michelle's affiliate income course from Making Sense of Cents.
After I complete the course, I'll report back how it has worked and put up an affiliate link if you'd like to buy it, too.
Freelance WritingFreelance writing has been going well for me. I have some news, but it probably won't be coming until the August or September income report.
Even though freelance writing income is going well, I always have more to learn. I'll be taking my friend Holly's course from Club Thrifty and will similarly report back on my experience.
Banner AdvertisementsBanner ads have continued to be as profitable as normal for me. Currently, I'm using ads from Media.net.
After testing them against Google Adsense, I found I get paid better through Media.net. If you have your own blog, you can give them a shot (affiliate link) and see if they work out better for you. If you sign up through my link, you'll get a 10% earnings bonus for the first three months.
Branded or Sponsored ContentBranded content, when I feature a certain brand in a post, has continued to pay off well for me. I don't accept just any offer and only promote companies I can get behind. I haven't found many new opportunities lately, but my current content continues to pay off.
You Can Start Your Own BlogI started my own blog way back in 2012, but I've stuck to blogging and now make a full time income from working online! If you want to start your own blog, you can get your own self hosted WordPress blog on Bluehost (affiliate link).

I disagree.
You don't have to invest money, and you certainly don't have to invest time. You have me!
One of the reasons blogging is so time-consuming is we must research before we publish in order to provide credibility for our readers.
I have done that research for you. I read The Huffington Post Complete Guide to Blogging.
Boasting a readership of 113 million visitors each month, the editors of the Huffington Post know what it takes to run a successful blog.
This post will report on the blogging and social media tips the book offers for bloggers.
I am as time-challenged as anyone, but when my friend and fellow blogger Yen recommended the book, I knew I had to give it a read.
Arianna Huffington, the founder and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post, announced this month she is leaving the online publication. It seems a fitting time to review the Huffington Post Guide to Blogging.
This article reviews Part I of the book, "The Nuts and Bolts of Blogging".
Background
The award-winning Huffington Post is one of the most famous blogs on the planet. It started solely as a political blog, and now its content is more diverse.
The book is broken into five parts:
In this section, the authors discuss the nature of blogging. If people feel satisfaction writing a letter to an editor, imagine the thrill of knowing anyone on the planet with access to the Internet can hear you.
The difference between blogging and mainstream journalism, they explain, is blogging creates a community.
From a sociological perspective, the book piqued in interest when it discussed our changing society.
We are no longer judged by the company we keep. Once upon a time, people would spend time with others who shared their gender, race, education, and socio-economic status.
The authors say those days are slowly going behind us. Today, people may bowl alone but share the joy of a strike with their online community.
Basic blog terminology is defined in this section as the authors explain what a blog is—a web log.
The writers praise blogging as "interactive, democratic, and just more fun than what has come before".
They try to explain the addictive nature of blogging to the nonblogger. Descriptions like "liberating," "informal," and "immediate" are used.
The authors offer the top ten reasons for blogging. Most seem downright silly which gives the impression that there is no right reason for blogging and no wrong reason for blogging.
However, #1 on the list is to establish credibility as an expert. The writers also praise blogging as an outlet for creative expression.
Getting StartedThe writers discuss the importance of having a niche and how to find one. If you have heard "Blog your passion," before, you will hear it again when you read this book.
Do I sound critical? No. Expressions become over-used when they are true.
The authors explain an additional value of finding a niche—if you ever want to make money from blogging, you could sell niche products.
In addition to describing a blog, the authors describe a typical blogger. "Passionate about the topic" is on the list.
Their advice continues. Pick a topic you find interesting, your readers find interesting, and you will be able to build a community of readers around that niche.
Arianna Huffington is quoted often in the book. She explains one of her frequently asked questions is should she write under her own name or a pen name? She advises writing under your own name.
The merits of the various blogging platforms are then weighed.
It's back to the basics as the writers discuss the anatomy of a basic blog post. The structure can be found in How to Write a Killer Blog Post.
Whether or not to allow comments on a blog has become a debated issue. The authors advise it.
In this section, the authors further their advice to new bloggers. They highly recommend linking to popular bloggers.
It's a way to get a popular blogger to link to you which could garner you mega traffic inside of just one day.
Getting NoticedThis is where the heart of Huffington's advice comes in. Getting noticed in the blogging world equals getting traffic.
More vocabulary is defined such as "hits" and "page views".
Tips for increasing blog trafficWrite about timely topics. Sites like Buzzsumo and Google Keywords can help you know what topics are trendy.
Write facts, not just opinions. Offer statistics to back up your opinions. Startling statistics become conversation starters in the comment sections.
Put a new spin on an old topic. Write the opposite of what people will expect.
Alert people interested in your content you've created a new post. You can tell them on Twitter or Facebook. You can Email them or tell them in the comments section of their posts. You can also tell them in the comment section of your posts.
Optimize for search engines. Philosophies of keyword use are discussed.
The authors advise using your keywords in your headlines and sentences. However, they discourage overuse of the word. They advise moderation.
Have a blogroll and tell the bloggers you've included them. They may link to you.
Guest blog. This will expose your writing to new readers. The admin blogger will share the post on social media and you will get exposure to new audiences that way too.
Link to other bloggers. Linking to relevant content increases your SEO, according to the authors. You make other bloggers aware of you this way too.
Add your blog URL to blogging directories.
Ask for links from blogs with relevant content. I didn't know this was trendy in 2009 when the book came out, but it sure is trendy now.
Making Money with Your BlogAdvertising
The authors caution that you won't get rich or even be able to make enough to support yourself by advertising on your blog. However, if you did want to try, bloggers commonly use these:
Ghostwriting is a great way to make additional income.
Compile your blog posts into a book. In addition, you could actually write a book about the content you blog about.
Start a new career that showcases your skills as a writer.

Finding Your VoiceThe authors post rules for "great blogging":
The authors discuss the pros and cons of comments in this section. Comments show you your readers care. However, they warn, bloggers need to be prepared to be showered with a storm of criticism.
How to Build a Community
The authors conclude Part I with a commentary on how blogging helps bloggers extend their influence to people outside of their immediate off-line circle.
In addition to our ability to influence others, our ability to be influenced by more people is enhanced in the blogosphere. In contrast to the perception of isolation that anyone who spends time on a computer has, bloggers are building and spending time in larger communities than in their off-line lives.
The second half of the book reveals the impact the Huffington Post blog has had on society especially in the political arena.
ConclusionAs far as I go, my opinion of the book was mixed. The editors of the Huffington Post recommend stopping your post at 800 – 1,000 words. They feel if your post is longer, your readers will lose interest.
If readers don't make it to the end, your bounce rate could suffer. Your comments will definitely decrease since your readers will never get to the end of your article.
I follow the advice of bloggers like Neil Patel who recommend longer posts. Neil's research shows long posts have an increased chance of being shared by your readers and being found more easily at search engines.
If after reading this summary of the Huffington Post authors' book, you still don't feel you have a solid grasp of blogging, don't worry.
The writers explain blogging takes a minute to learn but a lifetime to master.
Readers, please share, so people who haven't read the Huffington Post Guide to Blogging know how to follow the editors' blogging advice effectively.
What did you think of the book's tips? Do you agree or disagree? With which part? I look forward to your views in the comments section.

Unless you've been hiding in a hole (with no internet access!), you've heard that blogging is an actual way for people to create an income. You've probably even read some of the success stories, about people making hundreds, thousands – even tens of thousands — a month with a blog. So you want to do the same thing. You want to start a blog and monetize your blog.
Maybe you're a college student, looking to have some income to help offset the cost of classes, or maybe you're a mom who wants to earn enough to contribute to household expenses so you can stay home. Whatever your reason for creating a blog, you're probably asking yourself how soon you can start trying to make money with it.
That question has been around pretty much since blogging began, and it has two pretty divided camps. Should you work on building a loyal following before you start monetizing, or should you attempt to earn money with your blog right away? Let's take a look at both points of view.
Create An Audience First, Before Monetizing Your BlogBefore blogs became popular as a way to start your own business and earn an income, most people started them because they loved the idea of daily journaling, or because they had something to say. I started one of my earliest blogs after I moved to Peru – I wanted a way to keep my family in the US up to date with what was going on in my life. So-called "hobby bloggers" enjoyed blogging about what they were experts in and sharing that information.
Big-time blogger Darren Rowse had a similar story. He started his first blog as a hobby, and it became popular in its niche (church/religion). As time went on, he learned about AdSense, and gave it a try, hoping to defray the costs of his hosting. Well, he's done much better than that over the years! But as he says, his first forays into AdSense worked, because he already had a fairly large audience.
This is a common story among bloggers – we started for fun, and then it turned into work, taking a lot of time and effort, so we started looking for ways that we could be compensated. Because this is such a common blogging story, and because it worked so well for so many people over the years, it's often been said that this is the way to do it: Build your audience first, then monetize.
Monetizing Your Blog From The BeginningThings are different today. Most of us go into blogging with the idea we are creating a business. And there are so many ways to monetize your blog, that there's no reason to think you can't start making money right from the start. You can sell your own products or services from the very first day of blogging, or put ads on your blog, or offer affiliate products – so why wouldn't you?
Think about any other type of business you know. A magazine doesn't start out by printing ad-free issues the first year! A garden shop isn't going to hold 6 months of classes on how to care for plants before they start offering potted plants and peat moss to the customers. Likewise, it only makes sense, if your blog is going to be your business, that you would make money from the beginning.
There are a couple of reasons why it's a good idea, but to me the most important is that it lets your readers know right from the beginning that there are going to be products and services offered on your blog. They know what to expect and won't be surprised later on when you suddenly have ads or products show up.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind when you monetize your blog. First of all, it may lead some people to consider your blog more of a business than you as an individual. But writing content that connects with your readers and shows you as a person can easily counteract that.
Also, some readers may come to your blog and be put off by the fact that you're displaying ads or linking out to affiliate products. But if your purpose in blogging is to create an income, are those people really the audience you want? By monetizing from the get-go, it helps you connect with the readers you really want – those who value your content and are willing to spend money.
Finally, remember that just because you're monetizing from the beginning, it doesn't mean that you're actually going to make money right away. It will take time to create traffic to your blog, to get readers, and to build trust. You may find that the first person who comes to your blog just happens to be looking for exactly the thing you're selling, but it's probably going to take a bit longer than that.

Online Surveys
Online Surveys are the easiest way to earn a little bit of extra income on the side. Companies like Coca Cola, Toyota, etc. all want to know what you as the consumer are thinking – so they're willing to pay you to take surveys letting them know how you feel about the latest trends, topics and products. Here are a few good survey panels.
Blogging
The last option is very near and dear to me. Blogging is a great way to earn additional income. Companies and brands are willing to sponsor you if as a blogger you are able to generate a large enough following. Here's the top tips for bloggers to build their audience:
