The website has developed and made available for download around 90 freeware for Windows users. These portable freeware can be downloaded by anyone and are completely free to use. Apart from this, the website also gives a list of very useful third-party free software for Windows users. There are several software, like antivirus for instance, that a user can use legally for free, without paying a single Rupee to anyone.

"Why pay to use a software if an equally good software is available completely free. Take the antivirus software which everyone uses. While the built-in Windows Defender is good, other reputed security vendors like BitDefender, Avira, Avast, etc, offer awesome antivirus software with real-time protection, for PC users which are completely free, says Anand Khanse."

Khanse's work has been covered on several leading media on the including The Washington Post, PCWorld, ComputerWorld, Lifehacker, etc. It fact one of their freeware FixWin caught the attention of the world, and was talked about on Fox News Live TV in the USA, as the first of its kind to help fix Windows problems with a click. One of his tutorials even has had the distinction of being converted into the First MVP Fix it by Microsoft! Fix It's are small programs that are used to fix Windows problems.

Tell us something about yourself

I graduated in Physics, and moved on to complete my MBA in Finance. I worked in the Corporate Sector for a couple of years, in Systems Consultancy & Merchant Banking, before deciding to set-up my own business. For no particular reason I decided to study Law and completed it too, while working.

How did you get into the field of blogging?

Blogging was something that happened accidentally. While searching for answers, I started getting involved in a Tech forum. I learned quite a few things there. The next logical step was to start a blog and post all that I had learnt about the operating system.

Blogging is a leisure activity which has now turned into a part-time profession, and a way of life, for me – and I am surely enjoying it a lot. What started as a single author blog, is now a multi-author blog, where other MVPs and other Windows enthusiasts too contribute to it.

How do you finance all the website and software development costs?

Ads help finance my site and development costs. Google AdSense is truly amazing. Without monetization options, I don't think the web as we know it today would have existed. Thanks to these display ads, we are able to generate content and software for free consumption.

Can today's youth take up Blogging as a career?

Why not!? Folks can take it up as a full-time or even a part-time activity. If you have an expertise in a subject and a passion to write about it, you can definitely take up Blogging as a career. Blogging gives you great flexibility of time. You can be a digital nomad and work from anywhere as long as you have a laptop and an Internet connection. Once your blog traffic has crossed the threshold level, you could monetize it by displaying ads, selling software and so on. If your blog does well, rest assured that you will end up making a lot of money. Trust me, there IS a lot of money on the Web; you just need to know which direction to go.

But don't blog just to make money. Blog to build a reputation first. Folks today want to get rich quick. It won't work this way in blogging. The only ones who get rich quick today are those who tell others 'I will tell you how to make money online and get rich quick'. Stay away from such sites and focus fully on generating interesting content for your blog. Blog quality content keeping some very basic SEO rules in mind and blog consistently. This worked for me.

It may take a couple of years – but your day will come … it's just a matter of time! If you are passionate, your passion will be seen in the way you have developed your blog. So go all out and enjoy the ride

What technological advances do you see coming that could change the way we work

Some Digital disruptions that may change the world as we know are these. Some of them are already here while some will be here sooner than we think – like 3D Printing, Internet of Things, Cloud computing, Big Data, BYOD, to name a few. Companies and users will either have to learn to adapt, or get ready to become redundant.
